How to extract dihydromyricetin powder?
Stage 1. Pre-treatment:
The harvested vine tea leaves are washed, dried, and ground into a coarse powder to increase the surface area for extraction.
Stage 2. Solvent Extraction:
The ground material undergoes hot ethanol-water extraction (typically using 60-75% ethanol) at 60-80°C. This step dissolves DMY and other compounds from the plant matrix. More advanced techniques like Ultrasonic-Assisted Extraction (UAE) are often employed to improve efficiency and yield.
Stage 3. Filtration and Concentration:
The liquid extract is separated from the solid residue via filtration or centrifugation. The ethanol is then removed from the filtrate using a rotary evaporator under reduced pressure, resulting in a concentrated aqueous crude extract.
Stage 4.Purification (Core Step):
The crude extract is purified primarily using Macroporous Adsorption Resin Chromatography (e.g., AB-8, HPD series resins). After loading, the column is washed with water to remove impurities like sugars and pigments. DMY is then selectively eluted with a 30-50% ethanol solution, yielding a high-purity DMY fraction.
Stage 5.Crystallization & Drying:
The purified DMY solution is further concentrated under vacuum to induce crystallization. The DMY crystals are collected, washed, and dried in a vacuum dryer at low temperature. Alternatively, for an amorphous powder, the purified solution can be directly processed via spray drying or freeze-drying.
Stage 6. Quality Control & Packaging:
The final off-white to light yellow powder is analyzed by HPLC to verify purity (commonly ≥98%). It is then packaged in airtight, light-resistant containers with desiccants to ensure stability.

How is Your Dihydromyricetin Powder Different from Others on the Market?
We guarantee superior purity (>98%) through rigorous HPLC testing. Our product is 100% natural, non-GMO, and free from unnecessary fillers, allergens, and heavy metals. We specialize in a low-particle-size formulation that ensures excellent solubility and mixing, making it ideal for both manufacturing (nutraceuticals, sports nutrition) and personal use in smoothies or beverages.
